A fifteen-year-old boy has been punished to life imprisonment with a base term of 16-year period for the homicide of other student the deceased during a lunch break.

Mohammed Umar Khan pierced the victim, also aged fifteen, into the cardiac area with a weapon at the city's educational institution in the winter month.

The judge lifted the name suppression limitation on the perpetrator during the punishment phase at Sheffield Crown Court.

Surveillance video from the occasion of the knife attack displayed the killer coming near the deceased in the courtyard shortly after noon.

Court Proceedings

In the court case, Khan testified he had not intended to cause death to the deceased or cause him significant damage, asserting he could not recall what had occurred.

The state maintained that he had "wanted to prove he was formidable" and "was aware exactly what he was doing".

"You served as the instigator and... you behaved in pain and fury at what you regarded to be his treachery of your relationship," stated the justice during sentencing.

Aftermath

The school released a message stating that the pupil was "greatly remembered every daytime by the whole learning environment".

Investigators highlighted the devastating results of carrying knives, observing that a "instantaneous action" can permanently change multiple existences.
